Q: How often do I need to service my range cooker?
Range cookers come in various capacities and models, which require different servicing routines that run between six to months. Therefore, you should refer to the manufacturer’s guide for the specific servicing needs of your cooker.
However, we recommend that you service an average domestic 3-oven cooker AGA after every 12 months. You can contact us and give us the specifics of your particular appliance so we can serve you better.
Q: Why should I service my range cooker?
Servicing ensures your home is safe- especially if your range cooker uses gas, since it enables detecting any gas leaks. It also helps in cutting your energy bills by making sure that your range cooker works in the most energy-efficient manner, as well as helping you save on any money you would need to order food because the cooker is not working correctly. Furthermore, routine servicing extends the life of the range cooker so you can use it for years to come without the need to buy another.
Q: Do I need to prepare for a service?
You will have to turn your cooker the night before we come to service it to allow the internal components to cool down. If it is your boiler that needs servicing, then you should also ensure that there is free access to the boiler and the airing cupboard. You should also make sure that pets and children are not in the house especially if it is a gas-fueled cooker that has a problem.
Q: How long does a service take?
We focus on reducing any inconveniences we may cause as we carry out our services. We, therefore, take a short time as we possibly can, and complete our task in at most half a day to enable you to cook your favourite meal in time for your family’s dinner. However, we may take longer depending on the condition of your cooker since if it has more issues that may cause problems later, we will have to address them there and save you another day of downtime.
Q: I didn't buy the cooker from you, can you still service it?
Yes, we will service your cooker regardless of whether you bought it from us or not. Our goal is to ensure that you are safe and save you some money in the long run. Our service area is within 40 miles of Redruth, covering most of Cornwall.
Q: What make of range cooker can you service?
We are aware that all appliances wear out after regular use, so we service different makes of range cookers to ensure they are reliable for long. We service all fuel types such that if your cooker uses gas; we inspect the gas connection and combustion, ensuring that it does not produce fumes that can compromise the safety of your home.
We also service Rangemaster cookers, Rayburn cookers and all models of AGA, ensuring that even the electric-powered cookers have their circuits in good working condition. We go further to provide you with Gas safety certificates for gas appliances, to afford you peace of mind, especially if you are a landlord.
Q: Do you offer repairs?
Yes, we do provide you with repair services for your cooker. However, our repair services is only available to customers living within 40 miles of Redruth, Cornwall. Our team of specialist engineers are trained to work on all types of traditional range cookers including AGA, Rayburn, Rangemaster and more.
Q: Do you offer an emergency call out service?
Yes, we understand that you are bound to have an emergency soon enough, so we offer an emergency call out service. With all the different appliances that may need immediate attention, sometimes we cannot handle all emergencies efficiently. For this reason, we prioritise faulty boilers- especially in those chilly winter months.
Q: Do you sell spare parts separately?
If you want spare parts only, we have you covered. We have an Online Shop from where you can order the spare parts you need, and we offer shipping to anywhere in the UK. Our spare parts are reconditioned from genuine units which are carefully restored by our expert engineers. If you bought the appliance for which you want the spare parts, we will request that you give us the serial number and appliance details for us to serve you efficiently..
Q: Can you repair my cooker even if I didn't buy it from you?
Yes, our range cooker repair services are available even if you did not buy it from us. We are here to ensure that your cooker does the job efficiently for which you purchased it. If it is not in good working condition, you can always contact us and we will be glad to help.
Q: Can you convert range cookers to another fuel type?
Yes, we can convert your AGA range cooker to 13-amp electric using our fully approved 13-amp conversion kit. Our 13-amp conversion kit can be retrofitted to all models AGA cooker and to install it, we have to dismantle your AGA partially. We carry out the conversion on site, and it can take about four hours or more. We install the 13-amp conversion in two or four-oven models and recommend it as the best way to adopt an eco-friendly cooker which saves you money.
